Jason Maine’s career includes more than two decades of professional service experience that clients can rely on to help them achieve their business and professional goals.
In addition to representing clients at PinPoint Results, Jason successfully manages the Law Office of Jason L. Maine. Jason has an exemplary record including serving as the General Counsel for two different executive agencies, the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). He also served as Florida’s chief gaming and pari-mutuel attorney and as an Assistant State Attorney for the 2nd Judicial Circuit.
As the General Counsel for the DOEA and the DBPR, Jason was entrusted to oversee all legal matters pertaining to these agencies, frequently met with legislative members and staff, and served as a direct representative to the Executive Office of the Governor. DOEA is the state of Florida’s agency responsible for the health, safety and independence of nearly 5.2 million residents 60 and older. Jason oversaw all legal matters for the service divisions, including Home and Community Based Programs and Services, the Long-Term Care Ombudsmen, the Office of Public and Professional Guardians, Servicing Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE), MEDICAID wait-list screening through the Comprehensive Assessment and Review for Long-Term Care Services office and provided direct assistance to the Office of Legislative Affairs and Office of Communications.
As General Counsel for DBPR, Jason served as the lead counsel for an agency of more than 1,800 employees that regulates 34 industries, including, but not limited to, the divisions of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco; Drugs, Devices & Cosmetics; Pari-Mutuel Wagering; and Hotels and Restaurants. During his time as General Counsel, he managed a staff of more than 60 attorneys and was the lead or managing attorney for many significant cases. Jason repeatedly represented the DBPR before legislative committees.
Jason has helped clients navigate through the intricate web of regulatory and legislative red tape to meet their missions and goals, including: the award of multimillion dollar contracts, successful competitive procurements, the resolution of disputes with state agencies resulting in successful legislative appropriation, and representing clients in the face of regulatory concerns and disciplinary action.
Prior to his legal and lobbying career, Jason was an enlisted Airman in the United States Air Force. During his 10 years of active-duty military service, he built a solid understanding of process and attention to detail. While serving full-time in the USAF, Jason graduated from Saint Leo University, Summa Cum Laude and then went on to receive his law degree from the Florida State University, College of Law.
